Quebec Dismisses Eagle Rock, 4-2
|
The Quebec Armada converted a terrific effort from starter Ed Roby into a win over the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners at Ozark Mountain Stadium. The Armada won the game by a final score of 4-2. Nick Cockrell got the save, the 10th for him this season. With the win, Quebec boosts its record to 17-6.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Vince Walker? The Quebec second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Armada on top, 3-1. For the game, Walker had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Ed did a nice job," said Armada manager Rod Cirilo.
