Shell Goes Off, But Swallowtails Win
|
The State College Swallowtails overcame a pretty good performance by Madison left fielder Chris Shell, beating the Muskies, 6-5, at Stars Field. Shell hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The win was credited to 26-year old right-handed pitcher Billy Seal in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Josh Caroleo took the loss. The 4th-place Swallowtails hiked their record to 33-35.
State College pinch hitter Beau McCann helped the Swallowtails go up, 6-5, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, McCann hit a run-scoring single off Madison pitcher Josh Caroleo.
