Behind a fine performance from Bryant Wight, the Fort Worth Cats knocked off the Albany Firebirds, 9-3. Wight was 3 for 3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Cats. The Cats saw their record improve to 27-31.

Early in the game, Wight had a 3-run home run for Fort Worth. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Cats on top, 3-0.
