Quebec Absorbs 3-1 Loss to Kansas City
|
The Kansas City Tornadoes earned a close win over the Quebec Armada, thanks in part to John Nauss. The Kansas City right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the RCL in strikeouts with 29, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. The winner in relief was J.P. Larson. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. The win gives Kansas City a record of 16-9.
The Tornadoes got a big at-bat from designated hitter Roberto Navarro. For the game, Navarro went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Kansas City a 3-0 lead.
"Watch and learn," said Navarro. "This is what good pitching looks like."
