Red-Hot Manns Scorches Muskies
|
Sean Manns was unstoppable, but the State College Swallowtails were not.
Despite his hitting heroics at Stars Field, the Swallowtails lost, 6-2, to the Madison Muskies. Manns battered Madison for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book.
Manns just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits."
Sean Manns doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Mike Ming in the 9th.
On the season, Manns is batting .320 with 2 home runs and 13 RBIs. He has played in 38 games.
