The Chicago Eclipse and Dallas Texans played an entertaining game for Metroplex Park patrons.

B.J. Tourtelotte pitched well, but the Dallas Texans still lost the game, falling, 3-2, to the Chicago Eclipse at Metroplex Park. Chicago starter Joe McKnight was credited with the win after throwing 119 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Picking up the save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Jerry Bamberg.

Chicago used the hitting of Larry Gilliland to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Eclipse on top, 3-2. For the game, Gilliland had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Well, it's always frustrating to lose," said Dallas manager Lester Burrow.

Chicago is off to a hot start at 3-0.
