The Thunder Bay Black Bears spoiled a good performance by Joplin shortstop Brian Cranston, bumping off Joplin, 9-7, at The Firepit. Cranston was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Bobby Boeckner collected his 4th save. Thunder Bay has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
