Edwin Timmermans impressed in the 8-3 Minneapolis win over Waimea. Timmermans was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Josh Youmans, now 4-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. The 'W' lifts Minneapolis's record to 34-37.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Nathan Albury came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Waimea pitcher Mark Weston, he hit a 0-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Minneapolis on top, 4-3.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Timmermans.
