Fort Worth turned a good performance from starting pitcher Don Mrazek into a 5-1 triumph over the Amarillo Armadillos at LaGrave Field. Fort Worth, at 30-41, occupies last place in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.

The Cats got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ramon Sandoval. For the game, Sandoval was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Fort Worth a 2-0 lead.
