Memphis Privateers starter Mike Mardis turned in a top-notch performance against the Baton Rouge Outlaws at Coca Cola Stadium. The result was a win for the Privateers, 5-2. Mardis got the win, improving to 5-1. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run.

It could have been a different outcome for Memphis, had it not been for Luke Green, the former first round draft pick . Green contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Memphis up, 3-0.

Green called the win "a team effort."

The 4th-place Outlaws dropped to 31-32.
