The losses keep piling up for the Peoria Caterpillars.

The Waimea Wind used the hitting of pinch hitter Chris Ratliff to subdue the Peoria Caterpillars, 8-7. For the game, Ratliff went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Daniel Castro earned save number 19 this season.

With Waimea trailing 7-5 in the top of the ninth, Ratliff hit a fastball from Gerald Bosma for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Wind ahead, 8-7.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Ratliff told the Waimea Daily.

The win puts Waimea at 42-33 this season.
