The inspired effort of Cozumel right fielder Ryan Tucker was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-6, to the Thunder Bay Black Bears. Tucker was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The 6th-place Black Bears now have a win-loss record of 28-37.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Thunder Bay. That's when Stephen Sherrill hit a solo home run off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Terry Hearn to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Sherrill said.
