Spirited fans greeted the Memphis Privateers for their clash with the Fort Worth Cats.

The Fort Worth Cats torpedoed the Memphis Privateers at Privateers Grounds. The final score was 11-2, Fort Worth. Brett McDaniel went 3-for-5 for the winning team. With the win over Memphis, the Cats improved to 32-34.

In the top of the third, 27-year old third baseman Roberto Miranda hit a 2-run home run. The 5th home run of the season for the Fort Worth third baseman put the Cats on top, 2-0.

Memphis manager Ross Allan called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
