State College first baseman Clark Jahncke made his presence felt in the 8-4 Swallowtails triumph over the Pasadena Bumblebees. Jahncke was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Aaron Berry, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 3 innings.

State College took the lead, 5-4, on Glen Adelman's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Adelman hit in the bottom of the seventh, made Pasadena pitcher Gary Mims wince.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Jahncke. "You've got to get results."
