Ambition Keep Losing, Drop 9-5 Contest to Madison
|
Madison took on Indianapolis in front of a lively crowd.
Mike Williams led Madison to a win over Indianapolis. The final score was 9-5. Williams collected 2 RBI, while going 4 for 4 at the plate. The center fielder also scored 2 times. Madison pitcher Robbie Hunter got the win. He's now 4-2. Dan Esgro was tagged with the loss.
Madison used a clutch at-bat from Kahsay Daudi to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Muskies ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Zi-jun Gou.
The slumping Ambition have dropped 6 in a row.
