In a close game at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, the Fairfield Flash edged the Memphis Privateers, 4-3. Fairfield second baseman Yodo Hamamoto stood apart with his performance. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. Scott White picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kiyonobu Yamasaki Jr. suffered the loss. Fabien Nuvolari picked up the save for Fairfield, his 1st of the year.

Mike Chevallier, who is tied for 9th in the RAAA in extra base hits with 31, helped out the Fairfield cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3.

After the game, Fairfield manager Edward Batkin applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

Fairfield now has a record of 45-26 with the win.
