Black Slugs Argonauts to 20-5 Win
Astoria defeated Fairfield, 20-5, in large part due to 27-year old center fielder Chris Black. Black drove in 8 runs. The center fielder had 1 double and 2 home runs for the Argonauts. Cesar Magana picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 10 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 4-6. The Argonauts, at 42-42, sit in 5th place in the TML AAA Cito Gaston League.

Early in the game, Black had a grand slam home run for Astoria. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Argonauts on top, 7-3.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Black.
