Waimea Gets 7-2 Win Against Freeze
|
The Minneapolis Freeze and Waimea Wind delighted fans at The Wind Tunnel.
The Waimea Wind beat the Minneapolis Freeze, 7-2. Waimea pitcher and Maple Ridge, Canada, native Bob Harrigan led the way. Harrigan yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 10. His record improves to 4-8.
In the bottom of the third, William Avila delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Waimea shortstop hit a 2-run single, putting the Wind in front, 7-2.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Avila.
The Wind go to 27-46 with the win.
