The Walnut Creek Warriors received a superlative performance from starting pitcher David Godinez, allowing them to bump off the El Paso Mavericks, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Godinez, now 3-0. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. Russ Gilleo was credited with the save for Walnut Creek, his 2nd of the season.
