Toreros Win with Late Rally
|
In a tight contest between the Cabo San Lucas Toreros and the Mexico City Luchadores, John Koch was the determining factor. The Cabo San Lucas right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. The winner in relief was Andy Carr. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. With the win, Cabo San Lucas improves its record to 2-1.
Batting in the bottom of the 11th, former first round draft pick Alex Featherstone had a real shot to win the game. Mexico City pitcher Dan Wallace was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Featherstone hit a run-scoring single. The Toreros had a walk-off triumph.
In postgame comments, Koch said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
