Big Day for Achilles in 10-3 Beaches Win
Beaches second baseman Shane Achilles left his imprint on his team's 10-3 win over the Astoria Argonauts. Achilles was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for Cozumel in the contest. Cozumel pitcher Matt Donohue earned the win, hiking his record to 2-1. Joe McGinnity suffered the loss. The last-place Beaches now sit at 41-49.

With Cozumel leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Achilles hit a fastball from Joe McGinnity for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Beaches ahead, 3-0.

"We did the things that it takes to win a game," said Achilles.
