Kroes Goes Deep Twice in 8-1 Fireballs Win
Riding the 4-hit performance of the 24-year old left fielder Cooper Kroes, the Joplin Fireballs defeated the Indianapolis Ambition, 8-1. With this game in the books, Joplin is 41-49, Indianapolis 44-46.

With Joplin leading 5-1 in the top of the eighth, Kroes came up to bat against Indianapolis pitcher Will Witten. Kroes hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Fireballs on top, 8-1.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Kroes.
