Cats Turn Back Hitmen, 4-2

Fort Worth pitcher Eric Engel did his part in helping his team defeat the Calgary Hitmen, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Engel, the winner, moves to 4-1. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk. The Cats improved their record to 39-51 by beating Calgary.
Bryant Wight took Calgary hurler Joe Blevins deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 3-run home run put the Cats on top, 4-1. In all, Wight had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"Bottom line," said Calgary skipper Brandon Ashley, "we didn't play well enough to win."
