Stevens Gives Waimea Goose Eggs
|
Steve Stevens of the State College Swallowtails toyed with the Waimea Wind, as he shut them out, 7-0, at The Wind Tunnel. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 5-hitter with 6 strikeouts and no walks.
"I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Stevens said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there."
This season, Stevens has compiled a 6-6 mark, 5.15 ERA and made 16 starts.
