The Eureka Hornets picked up a win at Metroplex Park, dropping the Dallas Texans, 5-2. Harley Lowrie, who is tied for 5th in the RCL with a 1.21 WHIP, was the difference-maker. Lowrie yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-2. The Texans drop to 9-17, as their fitful start to the 2065 campaign continues.

Brian Carr had a big 2-run home run for the Hornets in the top of the third inning. With Eureka leading 2-1 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a changeup from Victor Lara, who finished 5th in the RCL in ERA with 3.54 in 2061, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Hornets on top, 4-1.

"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Lowrie told the Eureka News.
