The Fort Worth Cats called upon starter Larry Viola, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Cozumel Beaches, 3-2. The 'W' lifts Fort Worth's record to 40-52.

Ramon Sandoval was 1 for 3 for Fort Worth. The 27-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Steve Lewis. It was his 18th RBI of the season.

"I was a little disappointed," said Cozumel manager Masato Takagi. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
