Jared Thornton, who is tied for 6th in the RAAA in extra base hits with 42, knocked in 3 runs to help the Bowling Green Racers win, 10-5, over the Albuquerque Cacti. Jesus Giron got the win, improving to 4-10. He held the Cacti to 5 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Craig Arbeiter got credit for the save for Bowling Green. It was his 2nd of the year.

Jason Hansen, who is tied for 9th in the RAAA in home runs with 18, helped out the Bowling Green cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk.

"It was a solid team effort," Hansen said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
