The Fort Worth Cats received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Steve Thomas, allowing them to shoot down the Cozumel Beaches, 4-1. The loss makes Cozumel 41-55.

Fort Worth starter Steve Thomas pitched like a boss. The 6-foot-1 right-hander allowed 1 run on no hits over 8 innings.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Cozumel manager Masato Takagi.
