Herberto Tonilhas had an impact in the 5-3 State College win over Thunder Bay. The 24-year old right fielder went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Swallowtails win now puts them at 44-52.
The Swallowtails got a big at-bat from third baseman Diego Acevez. For the game, Acevez was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 25th home run of the season gave State College a 4-2 lead.
"We scored more than enough runs this time," said State College manager Afalku Coffie. "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
