The Billings Mustangs and Peoria Caterpillars played an exciting game.

The Billings Mustangs picked up a win at Cobb Field, knocking off the Peoria Caterpillars, 4-3. Starting pitcher Ricky Maldonado was a big reason why. Billings reliever Ricardo Reyes picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. Chris Schurman absorbed the loss.

Billings took a 4-3 lead on Nate Forbes's 1st double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Forbes hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Peoria pitcher Chris Schurman visibly frustrated.

In postgame remarks, Forbes hailed his team's "grit."

The Mustangs saw their win-loss record go to 37-60. At the same time, the Caterpillars fell to 50-48.
