State College Slaps 5-3 Loss on Antioch
|
The State College Swallowtails racked up a win at Stars Field, bumping off the Antioch Coal Miners, 5-3. Eric Church, who started for State College, pitched effectively for his team. Jay Clayton closed the door for State College, picking up his 7th save of the year. State College is now 39-46, while Antioch is 52-34.
Diego Acevez chipped in a 2-run home run for State College in the bottom of the second. For the game, the third baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
