Bison Topple Warriors with Late Rally
|
The Bighorn Bison weathered an outstanding game by Walnut Creek shortstop Mario Rodriguez to topple the Warriors, 6-4. Rodriguez slugged 2 home runs. The win went to Ruben Rodriguez in relief, making him now 2-1. Matt White took the loss for Walnut Creek. Bighorn is off to a hot start at 18-9.
Bill Dunlap hit a bases-clearing double off Ray Clemens in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Bison in front, 6-3. In addition to the double, Dunlap had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"Nervous? No," said Dunlap. "It was my time to shine."
