Fireballs Drop Muskies, 9-5
The Joplin Fireballs cut down the Madison Muskies by the score of 9-5 in 10 innings. Much of the credit went to shortstop Brian Cranston. Cranston was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times for the Fireballs. The win belonged to Orlando Sanchez in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Dave Dupuis took the loss for Madison. At 46-53, the Fireballs claim last place in the TML AAA Joe Torre Division.

Matt Colwell came through with a big-time hit for Joplin. The pinch hitter smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 9-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Colwell.
