Though he had a terrific game, Sean Hanson could not prevent his team, the Tallahassee Captains, from absorbing a loss. Albuquerque won the game, 7-4. Hanson went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Bo Ferguson got the win, improving to 4-2. He held the Captains to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 0 and walking 3. The save went to Jaheem Williams, his 3rd this season.

Albuquerque used the hitting of Colin Magne to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cacti on top, 6-3. For the game, Magne had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.

"It feels good to get this one," Magne told the Albuquerque Observer.

The second-place Captains have lost 5 consecutive games.
