The Minneapolis Freeze picked up a win at The Ice Box, downing the Fairfield Flash, 7-5. On the mound for Minneapolis was right-hander Victor Hernandez, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner was Brice Lavaud in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Tony Oliva took the loss. The win hiked the Minneapolis record to 48-40.

Minneapolis got a knockout punch from Josh Flippo. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Our fans made themselves heard," said Flippo.
