The bat of Thiongo Hali helped the Fairfield Flash top the Calgary Cowboys, 14-7, in 10 innings. Hali was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for Fairfield. Fairfield reliever Bryan Stanford picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Rob Schuss absorbed the loss. The win for the Flash raised their record to 50-45.

Fairfield used the timely hitting of Andrew Read to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Flash on top, 9-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Read told the Fairfield News.
