Earthquakes Win 5-4 Nail-Biter Versus Pioneers
|
San Francisco starter Jared Ritsch pitched well against the Vancouver Pioneers at Golden Gate Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-4, in 10 innings. San Francisco reliever Dakson Rocket picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Kenny Poor was saddled with the loss. Vancouver now has a record of 15-12.
The decisive blow was delivered by Cody Walters in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Kenny Poor to win the game for San Francisco. The home crowd went nuts.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Zayar Adelabu, the San Francisco manager.
