Curiel, Black Bears Too Much for Wind
The Thunder Bay Black Bears and Waimea Wind obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

A 4-RBI performance from the 24-year old left fielder Tony Curiel helped the Thunder Bay Black Bears beat the Waimea Wind, 7-6. Juan Cruz earned the save for Thunder Bay, his 1st.

With Thunder Bay leading 5-0 in the bottom of the sixth, Curiel hit a 2-run single off Waimea hurler Mark Weston. It was the 74th hit of the season for Curiel and put his team ahead, 7-0.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Thunder Bay manager Qi-chang Ec.

Waimea has now lost 4 straight.
