The State College Swallowtails earned a win at The Carrier Dome, knocking off the Tallahassee Captains, 4-2. On the bump for State College was right-hander Eric Church. He had a starring role in the triumph. The Swallowtails, at 49-61, inhabit last place in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division.

State College won the game in part because of Diego Acevez. The third baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Swallowtails ahead, 2-0. For the game, Acevez had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We did enough to win," said Acevez.
