Sasquatch Solve Honu, 5-4
|
The Seattle Sasquatch topped the Hawaii Honu, 5-4, in Thurman Munson League action at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Seattle pitcher and Springville, Utah, native Jason Sanders. Sam Godfrey, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save. The loss puts Hawaii at 16-11.
Seattle took a 5-4 lead on Ricardo Nieves's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Nieves hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hawaii pitcher Sander Rademakers visibly frustrated.
"We were the better team," crowed Nieves.
