Cowboys Capture Close Win
In a low-scoring contest between the Calgary Cowboys and the State College Swallowtails, Sandy Briseno was the X factor. The Calgary right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Bill Wolfe locked down his 12th save. At 45-50, the Cowboys are currently 6th in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.

Calgary took a 2-1 lead on Chris Schwegler's 19th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Schwegler hit in the bottom of the eighth, left State College pitcher Martin Butler visibly frustrated.

"We squandered some opportunities," said State College manager Afalku Coffie.
