Racers Lose to Swallowtails in Walk-Off
The State College Swallowtails withstood a good performance by Bowling Green left fielder Nate Adkins to knock off Bowling Green, 10-8, in 16 innings. Adkins was 5 for 7 with a home run, a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. State College pitcher Aaron Berry got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Joe Okocha got the loss. State College bumps their record to 48-49 with the win.

The decisive blow was delivered by Scott Carpenter in the bottom of the 16th when he hit a 2-run home run off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Okocha to win the game for State College. The home crowd went nuts.

Carpenter said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
