David Ballard said "it felt like taking batting practice" at Stars Field, and it showed in the box score. The State College right fielder had a fantastic 5-for-5 day against the Bowling Green Racers, leading his club to victory, 9-5.

"I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Ballard said later."

David Ballard singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
