Adkinson Lifts Jazz to 3-0 Triumph
|
James Adkinson knocked in all 3 runs for the West Island Jazz, helping them beat the Mexico City Luchadores, 3-0. Francisco Rodriguez, the winning pitcher, is now 2-2. He went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 6 hits, while fanning 11 and walking 1. Picking up the save was 34-year old left-handed pitcher Ernesto Herrera.
West Island took a 3-0 lead on Adkinson's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Alex Boulware in the bottom of the sixth, propelled West Island to the win.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Mexico City manager Tewolde Ojo.
The Luchadores fall to 9-20 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2066 season.
