Ballard Hits 2 home runs in Swallowtails Win
The State College Swallowtails beat the Calgary Hitmen, 11-4, at Mckinley Park. David Ballard, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, State College pushed its record to 50-50.

With State College leading 7-4 in the top of the ninth, Ballard hit a fastball from Dennis Humphries for a grand slam home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Swallowtails ahead, 11-4.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Ballard.
