The Calgary Hitmen got a marvelous performance from pitcher Alex Duran. The right-hander kept the Fort Worth offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Calgary victory at Mckinley Park. The Cats, now 52-64, have lost 7 in a row.

Ismael Fernandez drove in one run for Calgary. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Don Mrazek. It was his 36th RBI of the season.

"Alex went out and got the job done," said Hitmen manager Brandon Ashley.
