|
Antioch got a terrific game from center fielder Chris Bridgeman. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Madison, 5-2. Bridgeman went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Dave Dupuis. He is now 7-8. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. Madison is 48-68 and Antioch, with the loss, 71-47.
Madison got a knockout punch from Kahsay Daudi. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
Madison manager Daniel Breuer praised his team's "energy."
