Beaches 5-2 Winners Over Calgary
The Cozumel Beaches defeated the Calgary Cowboys, 5-2, in RCL AAA action at Bar Habor Stadium. Cozumel pitcher Tony Leija had a standout performance. Cozumel reliever Dusty Miranda picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Dave Campbell was tagged with the loss. Cozumel is now 51-66. Calgary is 69-48.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the second. That's when Beaches right fielder John Capanna hit a fastball from Josh Caldwell for a 2-run single. Just like that, Cozumel was up, 2-1.

"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Capanna.
