The Calgary Hitmen topped the Fort Worth Cats, 13-4, the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Malik Cousin. On the day, Cousin was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Hitmen. Joe Blevins got the win, improving to 12-3. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. Calgary has now won 3 straight, while the Cats have lost 8 in a row.

Calgary got a big at-bat from East Chicago, Indiana native Ismael Fernandez, who in the bottom of the third hit a bases-clearing triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Hitmen ahead, 7-0.

"Things will change for us," said Fort Worth manager Dudha Goli. "When things change, we'll get clicking."
