The Antioch Coal Miners downed the Pasadena Bumblebees, 5-0, at The Hole. Stellar pitching by Omar Hernandez had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who leads the TAAA with a 8.5 K/9 rate, handcuffed his opponent all game. Antioch, now 72-48, holds down first place in the TML AAA Cito Gaston League.

It could have been a different outcome for Antioch, had it not been for Jimmy Knauff, the 24-year old catcher . Knauff contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Antioch up, 1-0.

Knauff attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
