The Thunder Bay Black Bears faced a tough opponent in Baton Rouge pitcher Jordan Romero, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Edgbaston by a final score of 4-3. Romero went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. At 54-49, the Black Bears claim third place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.

Jeff Parks was the walk-off hero for Thunder Bay. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Black Bears right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Parks said.
