Walnut Creek Warriors pitcher Nelson Ramirez was in top form, leading his team past the Bighorn Bison, 4-1. Russ Gilleo collected his 8th save. At 21-7, the 2064 Warriors have been excellent so far.

Walnut Creek used a well-timed hit by Jorge Batista to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Warriors ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Ramirez said.
